The S.I. Vavilov Institute of History for Science and Technology of the Russian Academy of Sciences and The Polytechnic Museum are happy to announce the International Workshop "Engineering Technologies and Computer Science - EnT 2017", and cordially invite you to attend this Conference, to be held in Moscow, Russia, 28 September, 2017. The workshop is organized as an important and integral part of the international conference SORUCOM-2017.

The workshop is supported by IEEE and IEEE Computer Society.

In 2017, we celebrate many anniversary dates associated with the history of the development of engineering science and technology in Russia.

This year we celebrate the 145th anniversary of the founding of the Polytechnic Museum, 85 years of the founding of the S.I. Vavilov Institute for History of Science and Technology, 60 years of the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite, 50 years since the creation of BESM-6 - the best Soviet computer of the middle of the last century, which played a significant role in the development of computing technologies in the USSR.

In honor of these remarkable dates, we hold our international workshop "Engineering Technologies and Computer Science".

Invited reports:
Baturin Yuri. "Computer crimes, computer security and Russian computer law"
Tomilin Alexander. "50 years to the legendary Soviet computer. BESM-6 in real-time management systems"


The workshop will focus on two main areas of research:
     - historical heritage in the field of computer technology
     - history of engineering technologies

The working languages of the workshop are Russian and English. Abstracts in English and Russian are accepted until June 30, 2017.

Accepted reports will be published in the Proceedings of the workshop, published by the IEEE, placed in the digital library Xplore, reviewed in Scopus and Web of Science.
